MOSCOW. Oct 30 (Interfax) - The Federal Security Service (FSB), the Russian National Guard and Dagestan head Sergei Melikov have been informing Russian President Vladimir Putin in detail about the situation in Dagestan since last night, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"Last night and this morning, Putin has been informed in detail about the situation in Dagestan by the Federal Security Service, the Russian National Guard and Dagestan head Sergei Melikov," Peskov told reporters on Monday.
"It is well known and obvious that yesterday's events around the Makhachkala airport largely stem from external interference, including foreign information influence. Clearly, against the backdrop of television footage of the Gaza Strip horrors, deaths of people, children, the elderly, doctors and others, of course, against the backdrop of such reports, it is very easy for ill-wishers to abuse the situation, provoke it, rouse people," he said.
Putin pays a lot of attention to such matters, Peskov said, adding that Putin had a substantive conversation with Russian religions leaders last week and that this issue was addressed among others.
