YEKATERINBURG. Oct 31 (Interfax) - Motorized infantry units of the 201st Russian military base in Tajikistan have practiced neutralizing a terrorist group at the Sambuli range, the Russian Central Military District's press service said.
"According to the exercise scenario, an illegal armed group broke into the national territory and made a base in the mountains to enhance its strength. Motorized infantry units were tasked with deploying from a concentration area, reconnoitering the enemy and neutralizing the illegal armed group," the press service said.
Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles tracked down the militants. Infantry vehicles armed with automatic guns and Kalashnikov tank machines engaged the enemy. They killed the troops and destroyed lightly armored vehicles of the mock enemy simulated by targets.
