MOSCOW. Oct 31 (Interfax) - The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has reported detaining the coordinator of an attack on former Ukrainian parliament member Oleg Tsaryov in Yalta and said that he was acting on orders from Ukrainian security services.
"Urgent investigative actions and operational procedures yielded irrefutable evidence of the involvement of Ukrainian security services in the organization of this crime and their use of methods comparable with those of international terrorist networks," the FSB public relations center said on Tuesday.
"According to the investigation results confirmed by testimonies of witnesses and surveillance, the attack on Tsaryov was coordinated by a 46-year-old Russian citizen, a resident of Yalta, who organized the following of Tsaryov on orders from the Security Service of Ukraine," the FSB said.
The man was detained and pleaded guilty, it said.
He also "made a cache in Yalta to stash weapons used in the attack," the FSB said.
