Russian deputy FM, Israeli ambassador discuss Russians' safe exit from Gaza, release of hostages held by Hamas

MOSCOW. Nov 13 (Interfax) - Russian Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov hosted Israeli Ambassador to Russia Alexander Ben Zvi at his request, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

"The meeting participants had an in-depth exchange of opinions on the current situation in the Palestine-Israel conflict zone. The importance of active Russian-Israeli contacts to ensure the safe exit of all Russian citizens wishing to leave the Gaza Strip, and also the release of hostages held by Hamas, including those with Russian citizenship, was reaffirmed," a statement published on the ministry's website said.
