MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax) - The Russian Armed Forces have downed a Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29 fighter jet over the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing on Thursday.
"Fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces downed a MiG-29 plane of the Ukrainian Air Force near the town of Krasnoarmeisk in the Donetsk People's Republic," Konashenkov said.
"Air defenses intercepted two U.S.-made HIMARS missiles and a JDAM guided air-launched bomb," he said.
Twenty-six Ukrainian drones were downed over a number of districts in the past day, Konashenkov said.
