Russian Emergency Situations Ministry to deliver 40 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Armenia for Karabakh refugees

MOSCOW. Nov 22 (Interfax) - The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry has sent humanitarian aid to Armenia for refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh, the ministry's press service said on Wednesday.

The aid has been provided on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Russian government.

"The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry will deliver humanitarian aid to Armenia for displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh. The ministry's aircraft will transport 40 tonnes of humanitarian cargo, including food, blankets and a mobile power plant," the press service said.

An Ilyushin Il-76 plane has departed from Zhukovsky Airport near Moscow to Yerevan Airport on a special flight, it said.
