MINSK. Nov 22 (Interfax) - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has arrived on a working visit to Belarus, which is to host a joint session of the councils of foreign and defense ministers and the committee of security council secretaries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states on Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The military and political situation in the regions of collective security will be discussed and priority activities during the Republic of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the CSTO will be presented at the session," the ministry said.
The parties will also "consider documents dealing with the development of the organization's crisis response system, the composition of the CSTO [Collective] Forces and their logistic support," it said.
Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev also arrived in Minsk on Wednesday, the Council's press service said.
The CSTO Secretariat said earlier that the defense and foreign ministers and security council secretaries of the CSTO member states would meet in Minsk on November 22, and the CSTO Collective Security Council would gather for a session chaired by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on November 23.
