Next group of Russians, their family members evacuated from Gaza arrives in Moscow

MOSCOW. Nov 24 (Interfax) - The next group of people evacuated from Gaza, 103 Russians and Palestinians who are members of the Russian citizens' families, arrived in Moscow on November 24, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"Another 104 people crossed the Rafah border crossing point into Egypt and already left for Moscow by plane," the ministry said in a statement published on its website.

In total, 761 of the 965 Russians who asked for help have been taken out of Gaza, the ministry said. Six hundred fifty-seven people have already been taken to Russia from Cairo on Russian Emergency Situations Ministry special flights.

"Evacuation measures continue. We note the assistance from the Egyptian, Israeli and Palestinian authorities," the statement said.

The Russian diplomatic missions in Cairo, Tel Aviv and Ramallah, relevant divisions of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Emergency Situations Ministry and other agencies are taking all necessary measures to ensure speedy and safe evacuation of Russian citizens from the conflict zone, the Foreign Ministry said.
