Eight violations by int'l coalition in Syrian airspace recorded in past 24 hours - Russian military

HMEIMIM. Nov 27 (Interfax) - Aircraft of the U.S.-led international antiterrorist coalition continue to create dangerous situations in the Syrian airspace, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria Rear Adm. Vadim Kulit said.

"Eight violations by a pair of F-15 fighter jets, a pair of F-16 fighter jets and two pairs of Rafale fighter jets of the coalition were observed in the al-Tanf area over the past day," Kulit said at a press briefing on Sunday.

Seven attacks on positions of Syrian government forces by the Jabhat an-Nusra and Turkistan Islamic Party (both banned in Russia) were recorded in the Idlib de-escalation area, he said.

"Four attacks were observed in the Idlib province, one in the Aleppo province, one in the Latakia province, and one in the Hama province," Kulit said.

"A mortar strike on positions of Syrian government forces near Urum al-Sughra in the Aleppo province injured a Syrian soldier," he said.

Another Syrian soldier was wounded in the vicinity of Shulin in the Latakia province, Kulit said.
