Putin arrives in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH. Dec 6 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Saudi Arabia for a visit, where he will meet with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.

Putin has traveled to Riyadh from the United Arab Emirates, where he held negotiations with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The parties discussed the situation in the Middle East, the special military operation in Ukraine, and the UAE's plans to join the BRICS association in 2024.

The same subjects will also be on the agenda of negotiations between the Russian president and the Saudi crown prince. They are also expected to discuss cooperation in the OPEC+ format.

As was the case in Abu Dhabi, the negotiations in Riyadh will begin first between delegations, after which the Russian president and the Saudi crown prince will speak one-to-one.

Following the talks, Putin will return to Moscow, where he will meet with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Thursday.
