RIYADH. Dec 6 (Interfax) - Circumstances prevented Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud from paying a visit to Moscow, but he is still expected in Russia, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"First of all, I want to thank you for your invitation. We have been waiting for you in Moscow. I know that circumstances have made adjustments to these plans, but as I said, nothing can prevent our friendly relations from developing," Putin said at the start of talks with the Saudi crown prince.
"The next meeting should take place in Moscow," Putin added with a smile.
"Agreed," his Saudi counterpart said.
Putin said he took advantage of the Saudi crown prince's invitation to visit Riyadh because he was in the region on a scheduled visit to the United Arab Emirates.
