Iranian president's visit to Russia after Putin's trip to UAE, Saudi Arabia 'useful coincidence' - Peskov

RIYADH. Dec 7 (Interfax) - Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's visit to Russia that comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia is a coincidence, which is quite timely, the Kremlin said.

"No, it is more likely to be a coincidence. But, at the same time, it is of course increasingly useful in the current situation," presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters in Riyadh.

"Discussing and exchanging views, above all, on all key problems of the region, on the war in the Middle East is in the interests of all countries, it is in our interests first of all," Peskov said.
