Coalition aircraft commit 8 violations in Syrian airspace - Russian military

MOSCOW. Dec 7 (Interfax) - Aircraft of the U.S.-led international antiterrorist coalition continue to create dangerous situations in Syria by trespassing on its airspace, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria Rear Adm. Vadim Kulit said.

"Four violations of the deconfliction protocols dated December 9, 2019, by flights of the coalition's unmanned aerial vehicles uncoordinated with the Russian side were observed in the past 24 hours," Kulit said at a press briefing on Wednesday.

"Four violations by a pair of F-16 fighter jets and a pair of Rafale fighter jets of the coalition were recorded in the Al-Tanf area over the past day," he said.

He also reported seven attacks on positions of Syrian government forces in the Idlib and Latakia provinces within the Idlib de-escalation area by the Jabhat al-Nusra and the Turkistan Islamic Party terrorist groups, both banned in Russia, in the past 24 hours.
