Increased personal responsibility for antiterrorist security of energy, transport infrastructure in Russia of major importance - National Antiterrorism Committee

MOSCOW. Dec 12 (Interfax) - Russia's National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC) believes it is important to increase personal responsibility of industrial, energy and transport facility heads for compliance with antiterrorist security guidelines.

"Higher security of industrial, energy and transport infrastructure is an important area of activity for local authorities. NAC emphasized the need to increase personal responsibility of the heads of such facilities, alongside educational establishments for compliance with antiterrorist security guidelines," the NAC said.

The NAC meeting "elaborated additional measures towards higher efficiency in countering terrorist threats amid the special military operation and the approaching presidential election in Russia," it said.

The meeting noted the growing interest of foreign partners in Russia's experience of developing an antiterrorism system, the NAC said.
