Another 22 Russian citizens cross Rafah checkpoint into Egypt - Emergency Situations Ministry

MOSCOW. Dec 12 (Interfax) - Another 22 Russians crossed the Rafah checkpoint on the Gaza Strip's border with Egypt on Tuesday, the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's press service said on Tuesday.

"Another 22 people crossed the Rafah checkpoint today. The evacuated Russians and their family members are currently heading to Cairo on buses. Russian rescue workers, psychologists and doctors will provide them with comprehensive assistance at the operational headquarters," the statement said.

In total, over 1,000 people have been evacuated from the conflict zone since the beginning of the humanitarian mission. As many as 1,051 people, including 473 children, have been brought to Russia on the ministry's aircraft.
