YEREVAN. Dec 13 (Interfax) - Armenia is deepening its relations with the European Union, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said.
"Armenia is deepening its relations with the EU, and the EU supports democratic reforms in Armenia. Armenia and the EU are also exploring ways to ensure economic diversification for the Armenian economy," Mirzoyan said at a joint press conference with Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna in Yerevan on Wednesday.
"Some programs and areas are being discussed in a very practical way," Mirzoyan said.
"I won't specify for now, as these discussions are ongoing, but I hope they'll end in success," he said.
Tsahkna said he supported efforts "to make democracy in Armenia more profound."
"I'm talking not only about stability, it's also important to explain to the Armenian people that there are solutions and opportunities for a better life. It's important to follow the laws of democracy. We are willing to support you. We're also working on liberalizing visa regulations," he said.
The EU's message is that "we'll continue the enlargement processes in this region," Tsahkna said.
"That's why we're here," he said.
