BRUSSELS. Dec 18 (Interfax) - The Council of the European Union said in a statement released on Monday it has adopted the 12th package of sanctions on Russia, and it will take effect later after its publication in the Official Journal of the EU.
"The Council adopted today a twelfth package of economic and individual restrictive measures," it said.
"The relevant legal acts will soon be published in the Official Journal of the EU," the document said.
