Shoigu: All Russian Armed Forces staffing plans fulfilled this year, staff grows to 1.15 mln

MOSCOW. Dec 19 (Interfax) - All Russian Armed Forces staffing plans were fulfilled this year, and the overall staff grew to 1.15 million, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.

"All Russian Armed Forces staffing plans were fulfilled this year. The staff has grown to 1.15 million people," Shoigu said at an expanded meeting of the Russian Defense Ministry board on Tuesday.

Two combined-arms armies, a combined air force corps, and 50 formations and military units, among them four divisions, 18 brigades and 28 regiments, have been formed, staffed and equipped, he said.
