MOSCOW. Dec 19 (Interfax) - Foreign countries have supplied Ukraine with over 5,000 tanks and other armored vehicles, 115 planes and helicopters, and 23,000 drones, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.
"In total, Kiev has been supplied with 5,220 tanks, armored fighting vehicles, and armored personnel carriers, 28 planes, 87 helicopters, 23,000 unmanned aerial vehicles, over 1,300 artillery systems, including 494 M777, Caesar, Paladin, and Krab howitzers, and 2.65 million 155mm and 122mm artillery rounds," Shoigu said at an expanded meeting of the Defense Ministry board on Tuesday.
Since the start of Russia's special operation, 54 countries have declared military supplies to Kiev, and "in reality, weapons and military hardware have come from 15 states," Shoigu said.
"Ukraine has received $203 billion from foreign sponsors, which is $30 billion more than its GDP. In fact, this is a bankrupt country, as most of this funding is loans that must be repaid," he said.
