Russian Defense Ministry reports intercepting 2 Ukrainian drones over Kaluga region

MOSCOW/VORONEZH. Dec 22 (Interfax) - Russian air defense has intercepted two Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over the Kaluga region, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"On-duty air defense units have intercepted two Ukrainian drones over the Kaluga region," the ministry said.

The attack was attempted at around 1:50 p.m., it said.

"Air defense destroyed another two drones in the Dzerzhinsky district. According to preliminary information from taskforces working at the scene, there were no casualties or damage to infrastructure," governor of the Kaluga region Vladislav Shapsha said on Telegram.

Earlier on Friday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported downing four Ukrainian drones over the Bryansk region.
