Russia's shipbuilding industry launches serial production of various warship classes - Putin

ST. PETERSBURG. Dec 25 (Interfax) - Russia's shipbuilding industry is on the rise, and is launching the steady serial production of warships of different classes, President Vladimir Putin said.

"The commissioning of cutting-edge ships in the fleet is further evidence that our shipbuilding industry is on the rise, and is now moving towards rhythmic, serial production of warships of various classes. This is the most important, fundamental step in the revival and development of our shipbuilding industry," Putin said at a flag-raising ceremony for new warships joining the Navy.

Under the Naval Doctrine, Russia is continuing serial production and scheduled deliveries of advanced ships to the Navy, Putin said.

As reported, Putin is attending a ceremony for raising the naval flags on ships joining the Navy onboard the Admiral Golovko frigate on Monday.
