MOSCOW. Dec 26 (Interfax) - Russia's Novocherkassk large landing ship in Feodosia sustained damage in the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strike, and Russian air defenses downed two Ukrainian Air Force planes involved in the attack, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The Novocherkassk large landing ship sustained damage at the Feodosia base while repelling the Ukrainian Armed Forces' overnight strike using air-launched guided missiles," the ministry said in a statement.
"Two Sukhoi Su-24 planes from the enemy tactical air force that fired air-launched guided missiles were destroyed by air defenses during an air battle near the community of Zhovten, 125 kilometers northeast of Nikolayev," the ministry said.
