Baku, Yerevan still have differences over peace agreement but their number decreases - Azerbaijani FM

BAKU. Dec 28 (Interfax) - Baku and Yerevan still have differences over the peace agreement but their number has decreased, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said.

"The sides still have differences over the peace agreement. Yet I can say that the number of disputable articles has drastically decreased. The latest proposals received from the Armenian side on November 21, 2023, show progress, although a minor one," Bayramov said at a press conference on Thursday.

It is hard to tell how close the sides are to signing the peace agreement, Bayramov said. "The road to the peace agreement is open, and peace is realistic. I can say it's possible to rapidly achieve results in the peace agreement issue if the Armenian side has a political will to do so," he said.

Bayramov added that it would be wrong to disclose details of the peace talks, since that could harm the negotiating process.
