Russian Baltic Fleet holds Iskander-M exercise

MOSCOW. Jan 9 (Interfax) - Iskander-M short-range ballistic missile systems of the Russian Baltic Fleet have practiced a group strike on a mock enemy in the Kaliningrad region, the fleet press service said.

"Iskander-M systems from the Baltic Fleet's missile formation practiced group missile strikes from launch areas on command posts, an airfield, railroad hubs and other critical infrastructure of the mock enemy during a scheduled exercise at a range in the Kaliningrad region," the press service said.

A number of missile systems simultaneously performed training (electronic) launches of cruise missiles at the mock enemy's sites, it said.
