Ukrainian army's attempts to move sabotage groups onto left bank of Dnieper disrupted - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Jan 12 (Interfax) - Attempts made over the past week to carry Ukrainian sabotage groups onto the left bank of the Dnieper river have been stopped, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"In the Kherson sector, preventative actions by Russian troops and comprehensive fire damage on the enemy have disrupted the attempts of Ukrainian sabotage groups to cross to the other side of the Dnieper or to the islands," the ministry said in a statement on Friday.

"Aviation strikes and artillery fire have hit personnel and hardware of the 35th and 38th Marine Brigades, [and] the 121st Territorial Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the populated localities of Mikhailovka, Tyaginka, Ivanovka, Sablukovka, and Kachkarovka in the Kherson region," it said.
