YEREVAN. Jan 15 (Interfax) - Armenian parliament speaker Alen Simonyan does not rule out direct talks on a peace agreement between Yerevan and Baku.
"As for the peace agreement, the sides that seek to have leverage over Armenia and Azerbaijan will clearly aspire to be 'good' intermediaries and obtain that leverage. If Armenia and Azerbaijan realize they can and should solve their problems without being a bargaining chip in the big games of others, [...] I do not rule out that direct negotiations might be held," Simonyan told reporters on Monday.
"International recording of the process is also important," he said.
