MOSCOW. Jan 16 (Interfax) - The Russian Defense Ministry has reported intercepting 69 drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces over the past 24 hours.
"Air defense forces have downed 69 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the past 24 hours, including near Novaya Mayachka and Golaya Pristan in the Kherson region, Pologi in the Zaporozhye region, Staromikhailovka, Peski, Spornoye, Maryinka, and Lipovoye in the Donetsk People's Republic, [and] Belogorovka, Nyrkovo, Topolevka, Verkhnekamenka, and Krivosheyevka in the Lugansk People's Republic," the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
Russian air defense forces have also intercepted 13 rounds fired by HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, it said.
"Russian tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, [and] missile and artillery forces have struck Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel and hardware in 112 areas," it said.
"A total of 567 planes, 265 helicopters, 10,758 unmanned aerial vehicles, 450 air defense missile systems, 14,645 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles, 1,202 multiple rocket launcher vehicles, 7,750 field artillery systems and mortars, and 17,507 special military automobiles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation," it said.
