Power supply to village in Russia's Belgorod region resumes after disruption by air defense operations - governor

BELGOROD. Jan 17 (Interfax) - Russia's Belgorod region governor Vyacheslav Gladkov has reported the consequences of air defense operations in the early hours of Wednesday.

"Last night was not a quiet one in Belgorod, the Belgorod district and the Shebekino district, as our air defense was operating. The power supply to Blizhnyaya Igumenka was cut and fragments from downed targets caused damage. The power supply to Blizhnyaya Igumenka has resumed at the time I write this post," Gladkov said on VK on Wednesday morning.

Damage to windows and cars has been reported, Gladkov said. "We will try to help repair them very quickly, as we always do," he said.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry said that four RM-70 Vampire rockets were destroyed and two drones were intercepted over the Belgorod region. In addition, the Russian military destroyed seven Olkha rockets and four Ukrainian drones over the Belgorod region at around 2:40 a.m.
