Six Ukrainian Storm Shadow missiles intercepted, 76 drones downed in past 24 hours - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Jan 22 (Interfax) - Russian forces have intercepted six Storm Shadow air-launched missiles and downed 76 Ukrainian drones in the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday.

"Six Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles and five projectiles of HIMARS high mobility artillery rocket systems have been intercepted over the past day," the ministry said.

Additionally, the ministry reported downing 76 Ukrainian drones in the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics and the Zaporozhye, Kherson and Kharkov regions.

"In all, 568 planes, 265 helicopters, 11,033 unmanned aerial vehicles, 451 air defense missile systems, 14,738 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,205 multiple rocket launchers, 7,822 artillery systems and mortars, and 17,727 special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation," the ministry said.
