MOSCOW. Jan 22 (Interfax) - Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev has met with Le Hoai Trung, head of the Commission for External Relations of the Vietnamese Communist Party's Central Committee, in Moscow, the Russian Security Council staff's press service said.
"The parties discussed further bolstering Russian-Vietnamese cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats. They also exchanged views on the situation in the Asia-Pacific region," the press service said in a statement.
The parties also reaffirmed the long-term nature of Russian-Vietnamese cooperation in the interests of both countries, "as well as for maintaining peace and stability in the region," it said.
