BELGOROD. Jan 24 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Armed Forces have shelled seven districts in Russia's Belgorod region over the past 24 hours, Belgorod region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his Telegram account on Wednesday.
A suicide drone struck a single-family home on the outskirts of Lozovaya Rudka in the Borisovka district, Gladkov said.
"Nobody was hurt. The blast smashed the home's windows, damaged its walls, damaged the interior and furniture, and disrupted a power supply line. Two explosive devices were also dropped from a UAV [unmanned aerial vehicle] on the outskirts of Bogun-Gorodok. No casualties or damage have been caused," Gladkov said.
Two suicide drones also attacked the village of Balki in the Shebekino district, he said.
"An explosive device was dropped from one of these drones. The attack damaged two civilian automobiles. There were no casualties. The village of Terezovka came under mortar fire, and three strikes have been recorded. No negative consequences were caused. An explosive device was also dropped from a UAV. Nobody was hurt. The explosion damaged a single-family home and two civilian automobiles," he said.
The village of Pankov in the Shebekino urban district was attacked with 16 mortar rounds and the village of Mukhin with three, Gladkov said. Two suicide drones attacked the villages of Novaya Tavolzhanka and Sereda each, causing no casualties or damage, he said.
"After air defense systems were activated near the village of Preobrazhenka in the Stary Oskol urban district, fragments of a downed missile were discovered and later destroyed in a controlled blast. No one was hurt. The blast smashed windows in summer kitchens and verandas of six single-family homes," he said.
The village of Shchetinovka in the Belgorod district was shelled with two artillery and eight grenade launcher rounds, and Krasny Khutor was shelled with 18 grenade launcher rounds. One piece of fragmentation ordnance was also dropped from a drone in Krasny Khutor, and two drones attacked Zhuravlyovka. No casualties or damage were caused in any of these communities, Gladkov said.
An air defense system downed a fixed-wing drone near Timonovo in the Valuiki district, causing no damage on the ground, he said.
Eight mortar rounds were fired on the outskirts of Spodaryushino and two others on the outskirts of Dronovka, causing no casualties or damage, he said.
Five strikes were recorded on the outskirts of Vyazovoye in the Krasnaya Yaruga district, causing no damage, he said.
The Belgorod region's border territories have come under sporadic Ukrainian attacks since February 24, 2022. Civilian casualties have been reported. The region has declared a yellow (high) level of terrorist alert and a state of emergency in 15 border communities.
