Russia's FSMTC cautions Ecuador against giving Russian weapons to U.S

MOSCOW. Jan 24 (Interfax) - Ecuador's supply of Russian-made military hardware to the United States will lead to negative consequences in bilateral cooperation, the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) said.

"We have noticed reports on the intentions of the administration of the Republic of Ecuador to supply to the U.S. Russian-made weapons and military hardware without obtaining the corresponding authorization from the Russian Federation," FSMTC said.

"In the event of supply of Russian-made military property to a third party, Ecuador will violate its international obligations, which may lead to negative consequences for our further bilateral interaction," the agency said.
