MOSCOW. Jan 24 (Interfax) - Military and military-technical cooperation was discussed at a meeting with Chadian Defense Minister Dago Yacouba in the Russian Defense Ministry in Moscow on Wednesday.
Russian Deputy Defense Ministers Alexander Fomin and Yunus-Bek Yevkurov attended the meeting, the Russian Defense Ministry said. "The sides discussed the current state of bilateral military and military-technical cooperation, and prospects for its future development, including ways of their materialization. They exchanged views on pressing issues concerning regional security on the African continent," the ministry said in a statement.
"They noted the importance of developing Russian-Chadian relations in the area of defense and the need to intensify joint action to help stabilize the situation in the region," the ministry said.
