Every security measure taken for Putin's trip to Kaliningrad, air corridor through Lithuania not requested - Peskov

KALININGRAD. Jan 25 (Interfax) - Proper security measures have been taken for Russian President Vladimir Putin's trip to Kaliningrad, and no request has been made for a direct air corridor through Lithuania, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"They are always taken, special security measures are taken everywhere in relation to the head of state. Of course, security measures have been taken this time as well. I mean everything necessary is being done to ensure security of the head of state," Peskov said. Journalists asked him on Thursday whether additional security measures had been taken for Putin's trip to the Kaliningrad region.

Peskov said "no" to the question on whether a direct corridor through Lithuania had been requested for Putin's flight to Kaliningrad.
