Preliminary version of Il-76 plane crash in Belgorod region suggests attack by anti-aircraft missile from Ukraine - Russian Investigative Committee

MOSCOW. Jan 25 (Interfax) - The inquiry into the crash of an Ilyushin Il-76 plane in the Belgorod region is focusing on a Ukrainian cross-border anti-aircraft missile attack as its likely cause, the Russian Investigative Committee said on Telegram on Thursday.

"The initial results of inquiries, including preliminary data from the crash scene, suggest that the aircraft was attacked by an anti-aircraft missile from the territory of Ukraine," it said.
