Russia values its strategic partnership with India - Putin

MOSCOW. Jan 26 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has forwarded greetings to Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Republic Day, a national holiday in India.

"India has achieved impressive successes in the socioeconomic, scientific, technical and other spheres, enjoys the deserved authority on the world stage and actively participates in tackling crucial issues on the international agenda," Putin said in his message, published on the Kremlin website.

"We value the relations of privileged strategic partnership between our states. I am confident that we will continue to systematically enhance constructive Russian-Indian cooperation in different areas through joint efforts. This fully meets the interests of our friendly peoples and is in line with steps aimed at strengthening security and stability in the region and worldwide," Putin said.
