BELGOROD. Jan 26 (Interfax) - Russia's Belgorod region came under attack from Ukraine in the past 24 hours, and a drone killed a woman in the Borisovka district, the region's governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Friday.
"A quadcopter dropped a bomb on the outskirts of the Lozovaya Rudka farmstead, killing a civilian woman. Air defense downed two airborne targets over the Krasny Kutok village. No damage was done on the ground," Gladkov said on Telegram.
The largest number of attacks was observed in the Belgorod district.
Eight artillery shells were fired at the Shchetinovka village, alongside two at the Zhuravlyovka village and six at the Nekhoteyevka motor checkpoint. The latter was also attacked by two kamikaze drones. The enemy hit the Zhuravlyovka village using a kamikaze drone.
"There are no casualties or damage in those populated localities," Gladkov said.
Yet, damage was done to the town of Razumnoye, where a private house's roof was hit. Windows were smashed in the village of Tavrovo, he said.
A drone dropped a bomb on the outskirts of the Dronovka village in the Graivoron municipal district. No damage was done.
Two mortar shells were fired at the Maryino farmstead in the Shebekino municipal district. There are neither casualties nor damage, Gladkov said.
