Heightened state of alert declared in Leningrad region ports

GATCHINA. Feb 6 (Interfax) - A heightened state of alert has been introduced in four ports of Russia's Leningrad region - Vyborg, Vysotsk, Primorsk and Ust-Luga, documents published on the website of the Baltic Sea Ports Administration said.

"The reason is the increased risk of human-induced emergencies as a result of attacks by Ukrainian Armed Forces unmanned aerial vehicles on facilities and territories of the seaport," an executive order for Ust-Luga said.

The similar reason was given in the documents declaring a heightened state of alert in the ports of Vyborg, Vysotsk and Primorsk.

As reported, the Leningrad region's Governor Alexander Drozdenko in January introduced a heightened state of alert at critical infrastructure facilities in all districts of the region. Personnel guarding such facilities and security services were ordered to destroy all drones detected over the adjacent territories.
