MOSCOW. Feb 6 (Interfax) - Fighter jets of the Russian Northern Fleet have flown training missions over the Kola Peninsula and the Barents Sea, the fleet press service said in a statement on Tuesday.
"Fifteen Sukhoi Su-33 shipborne fighter jets, Su-30SM multirole fighter jets, and Su-25UTG training jets took part in the flights," the press service said.
Pilots practiced flying at various altitudes, long-range missile and short-range engagement tactics, and aerobatics, it said.
Two shipborne fighter jets acted as the mock enemy and imitated strikes on targets near an airfield, the press service said.
"The flights were performed from the Severomorsk-3 airfield in daytime and at night. In all, the pilots spent about 20 hours in the air," it said.
