MOSCOW. Feb 6 (Interfax) - Two Tupolev Tu-160 strategic bombers have performed a flight lasting more than ten hours over the neutral waters of the Arctic Ocean and the Laptev Sea, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The flight was performed in strict compliance with international airspace regulations," the ministry quoted Long-Range Aviation Commander Lt. Gen. Sergei Kobylash as saying.
"Long-range aviation pilots regularly fly over the neutral waters of the Arctic Ocean, the North Atlantic, the Black Sea, the Baltic Sea, and the Pacific," he said.
