MINSK. Feb 6 (Interfax) - Troops from the Belarusian Western Operational Command are conducting tactical drills at a defended post in a fortified area near the border with Poland, the Belarusian Defense Ministry's VoyenTV channel reported on Tuesday.
"Today, in Zhabinka, Brest region, members of the 6th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade began tactical exercises using the facilities of a defended post in the Kobrin fortified area," it said.
"As part of the exercise, [the participants] are using regular hardware, including BMP-2 [infantry fighting vehicles], AGS17 [automatic grenade launchers], and mortars. Reconnaissance has been set up using UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles]," it said.
