Kremlin denies that Moscow proposed freezing Ukraine conflict

MOSCOW. Feb 14 (Interfax) - The Kremlin has denied media reports that Russia proposed to the United States via mediators that the conflict in Ukraine be frozen at the current stage.

"No, this is not true," Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told journalists on Wednesday, when asked whether it was true, as reported by some media, that the Russian president proposed to the U.S. that the conflict in Ukraine be frozen but the U.S. declined the proposal.
