Putin: Russia does what other countries have in space, including U.S

MOSCOW. Feb 20 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed at a meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu with the latter's opinion that the subject of Russia's deployment of nuclear weapons in space aims to push Russia towards talks on strategic stability.

At the meeting with Putin, Shoigu said he believed that by raising the subject of Russia's nuclear weapons in space, the United States "would like to resume and push us, perhaps, so clumsily towards a dialogue on strategic stability."

"Yes, I agree," Putin said.

"As for space, we only do what other countries, including the U.S., have in space. And they are aware of it," Putin said.
