Shoigu: Work on Avangard missile system completed, 2 regiments on combat duty

MOSCOW. Feb 20 (Interfax) - Two regiments of Avangard missile systems have already been placed on combat duty, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.

The West knows very well what kind of weapons Russia now has, Shoigu said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"They know that we have the Poseidon, the Peresvet, the Burevestnik, and the Sarmat at a fairly high stage of completion. The work on Avangard has been completed, two regiments are already essentially on combat duty," Shoigu said.
