BELGOROD. Feb 22 (Interfax) - Yet another village was attacked on Thursday by a Ukrainian drone in the Graivoron town district in Russia's Belgorod region, its governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.
"The village of Kozinka, in the Graivoron town district, was attacked by Ukraine's Armed Forces using a UAV [unmanned aerial vehicle] which dropped an explosive device near a grocery shop. Thank God, no one was hurt! The shop's [window] glass was smashed, roof damaged, and a car also sustained scratches. Emergency services are working at the scene," Gladkov said on Telegram.
Earlier on Thursday, he said Ukrainian military drones had dropped explosives on two trucks in the same district's village of Glotovo, causing one driver to sustain fragmentation injuries to his face and arm, and the other, a fragmentation injury to his arm.
The Belgorod region's border territories have come under sporadic Ukrainian attacks since February 24, 2022. Civilian casualties have been reported. The region has declared a yellow (high) level of terrorist alert and a state of emergency in 15 border communities.
