BELGOROD. Feb 26 (Interfax) - Two children have been injured as a result of mortar shelling by Ukraine of a village in the Shebekino town district, Belgorod region governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.
"The village of Novaya Tavolzhanka in the Shebekino town district came under mortar fire from Ukraine's Armed Forces. There are two injured persons: they are boys, aged ten and eleven. One sustained a shrapnel wound to the leg, the second is shell-shocked. Paramedic teams are now taking them to the regional children's hospital, full necessary medical assistance is being provided," Gladkov said on Telegram on Monday.
The attack also caused some damage in a residential area, he said.
"Five windows have been smashed in a three-story block of flats and a light automobile also sustained scratches. [...] Emergency services are working at the scene," Gladkov said.
