Russian Defense Ministry reports intercepting 2 Ukrainian drones over Belgorod region

MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Russian on-duty air defense forces have intercepted two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the Belgorod region, the Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.

"An attempt by the Kiev regime to commit a terrorist attack using fixed-wing UAVs to strike sites on the Russian Federation's territory was disrupted at about 12:30 p.m. today," it said.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Defense Ministry said air defense systems destroyed two drones over the Bryansk region and one in the Belgorod region.
