MOSCOW. Feb 29 (Interfax) - Aircraft of the U.S.-led coalition have continued to create dangerous situations in Syria's airspace, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria Rear Adm. Vadim Kulit said.
"Two violations of the deconfliction protocols of December 9, 2019 by the coalition have been recorded over the past 24 hours due to flights of unmanned aerial vehicles that were not agreed with the Russian side," Kulit said at a press briefing on Wednesday.
Six violations of Syria's airspace by a pair of coalition F-16 fighter jets and two pairs of A-10 Thunderbolt attack planes were recorded over the al-Tanf area over the past day, he said.
Five attacks on Syrian government forces' positions by the Jabhat al-Nusra and Turkistan Islamic Party terrorist groups, both banned in Russia, were observed in the Idlib de-escalation area over the day, including one attack in Aleppo province, two in Idlib province and two in Latakia province, Kulit said.
"One Syrian soldier was killed when terrorists in the Shaykh Sulayman area fired an anti-tank missile system at positions of Syrian government forces near the community of Qabtan al Jabal in Aleppo province," he said.
