Ukrainian attack cuts power supply to 45,000 residents in Shebekino, Russia's Belgorod region

VORONEZH. March 13 (Interfax) - Head of the Shebekino urban district in the Russian Belgorod region Vladimir Zhdanov has reported a power outage in a number of populated localities caused by a Ukrainian attack.

"An attack of this morning cut power supply to a number of populated localities in the Shebekino urban district, over 45,000 residents. Repair teams are fixing the damage to resume power supply to homes of district residents and enterprises as soon as possible," Zhdanov said on Telegram on Wednesday.

He also said that power supply to Maslova Pristan, Rzhevka, Murom and Novaya Tavolzhanka has resumed.

The region's governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported an attack on Shebekino earlier on Wednesday. He said that some of the shells hit an industrial zone, causing one casualty.
