SUKHUM. March 14 (Interfax) - Abkhaz Deputy Foreign Minister Irakli Tuzhba and the co-chairs of the Geneva Consultations on Security in the South Caucasus have discussed the agenda of the upcoming 60th round of consultations, and Sukhum has expressed readiness for further work in this format, the Abkhaz Foreign Ministry's press service said.
Tuzhba informed the co-chairs, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar, UN representative Cihan Sultanoglu and OSCE representative Siegfried Weber, that "the conclusion of an agreement on the non-use of force between Abkhazia and Georgia remained a key aspect" of the consultations, the ministry said.
"The Abkhaz side expressed the readiness to keep working in the format of the Geneva consultations, which is the only international platform addressing security in the South Caucasus," the press service said.
Emphasis was put on the relaunch of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism. Abkhazia plans to highlight the recognition of Abkhaz passports for international travel yet again, the ministry said.
